If you’re looking for kitchen counter ideas and want something other than the typical shiny polished granite, there are some cool alternatives.  On a recent project our client wanted a counter top with all of the durability and beauty of granite but without the shine.  Chris helped them find a beautiful honed granite that is a perfect match to the elegant style of their kitchen which features white painted cabinets and a stained furniture-style island.  Honed granite has a matte finish (non-shiny) that has a more aged and less-formal look than polished granite.   This kitchen counter also features an ogee edge detail which gives just a little extra interest.
