We recently completed a project where we updated two 1988 baths. Â Remember blue tile, wallpaper and oak toilet seats? Â They served their purpose for 25 years, but it was time for an overhaul.
The goals for the project were simple: create a space consistent with the look and feel of the rest of the house (remodeled 5 years ago) while improving functionality and adding some storage.
In order to add linen storage we offset the sink and mirror slightly to the right, giving us enough room to add an 18″ wide countertop cabinet. Â The lower section of the cabinet has an electrical outlet for a hair dryer or toothbrush charger making it simple for our client to keep their bathroom clutter free.
The vanity is cherry with quartz countertop and glass/stone mosaic backsplash. Â The heated tile floor is 12″x24″ porcelain in a running bond pattern. Â We reused the existing tub and replaced the blue ceramic tile with a 4×8 subway tile.
Overall, a very rich and warm main bath with clean lines and soothing colors. Â We hope you like it.
