Dated And Boring Suburban Fireplace Gets Hip To The Times

The existing fireplace was uninspiring, outdated and the hearth protruded too far into the room.  Our clients wanted a focal point for their family room that was modern, but not contrived.  Their wishlist included an efficient gas fireplace, simple but interesting surround and functional bookshelves.

Our design included a Regency gas fireplace insert from Morton’s Stoves, porcelain tile that resembles concrete from Pental (and unlike concrete it won’t stain), custom built-ins and a mantle reclaimed from a barn near Camas, WA.

We think the transformation speaks for itself and our clients absolutely love it!
