Kashas Design Build in the 2020 Virtual Remodeled Homes Tour

2020 Virtual Remodeled Homes Tour

This year the Building Industry Association of Clark County decided to do their annual remodeled homes tour virtually via video.  We hadn’t participated in the tour for over 10 years (it’s a lot to ask of a client to open their home for a couple of days), but were happy to feature our project in this format.

The project we featured is one of our all time favorites.  We enjoyed working with our wonderful clients through the entire design/build process.

Here’s a little background:

Our clients bought a dated 1990 built home with the goal of transforming it into their forever family home. They were relocating back from the east coast and looking for a design/build company to help them do the initial planning long distance while they made the move back to the northwest.  We handled the initial planning via Zoom then finalized the design once they were here permanently.  Our design team, headed by Stephanie Tottingham, worked closely with our clients throughout the design and construction phases to make sure their vision for a sleek and modern, yet warm and inviting, design came to life.  The project touched every room and surface throughout and includes several key changes to the floor plan to improve flow and make it more open.  We replaced and added windows to increase natural light and got rid of the dated arches in the process.  We also added a massive 2-panel patio door and large covered deck for enjoying the views and entertaining.  The roof was replaced and the exterior re-painted including the dated red brick. We enlarged the front porch and added sleek timber frame details.  Our construction team did an awesome job on the intricate structural changes and finish details and we got them moved in before the deadline!

We hope you enjoy the tour!
